about
I have written and produced this song for Stewart Sparling, a family friend who has sadly just lost his battle with MND.
Stewart wrote the lyrics himself, describing in his own words, how he felt as a MND sufferer both physically and emotionally.
We aim to raise as much as possible through this charity single for the Treble One trust - a charity Stewart has set up himself to raise money and awareness for other MND sufferers.
Please download the song for as little as £1 or as much as you wish to donate.
The song was recorded as Aspect Studio's in Loughborough.
lyrics
VERSE 1
Never forget who I was, Never forget that I'm still me,
You might take my body, but my mind will not grow weak,
How could you do this? Why are you doing this to me?
I see my body before me, but I cannot move an inch,
You're invading in places, where I can no longer reach.
BRIDGE
I'll never lose hope, you won't pull me down.
CHORUS
I hate you, Silent Killer,
You think you won't be beaten, well come and stand in front of me,
Or don't you have the courage, are you too afraid to see?
Silent Killer, you're the one that's weak.
VERSE 2
Not only is it my strength, but my family you're testing too,
You make me want to scream so loud, but my voice you're trying to mute, how could you do this? Why are you doing this to me?
When we first met we stood toe to toe, and now you have me hanging on the thinnest of ropes, but that rope is strong, and I will hang on...
BRIDGE
CHORUS
MIDDLE 8
What is life? What is death? Are they different or one of the same?
Do we live, to die? Or do we die, to live?
